The porch, being the main entrance, was transformed quickly from a dated space with green plastic cladding, exposed artex and worn flooring into a cleaner, brighter and more organised entryway featuring new drywall, vinyl flooring, shelving, and historical artwork connected to the home’s past.

Structural and decorative work
- Green cladding removed to expose the underlying wood frame and old artex.
- Drywall added over the frame, gaps sealed, and the surface painted for a cleaner finish.
- Flooring replaced with new ply and vinyl tiles for durability and appearance.
Storage and furniture
- Small shoe cabinet from Temu placed beneath two shelves for practical storage.
- Shelving added to increase usable space and display items.
Artwork and historical features
- History artwork added, including an old street image and the 1911 census record of Arthur, a former resident of the house.
